Rekeying vs. Changing Locks
Rekeying means adjusting the internal pins of your current lock so old keys no longer work and only a new key does. The hardware itself stays the same. Changing locks means replacing the physical lock hardware entirely. If your current locks are in good condition, rekeying is almost always the faster and more affordable option; we'll only recommend full replacement if the hardware is too worn or outdated to rekey reliably.
