About Mobile Car Unlock
A car locksmith who actually understands how modern vehicle key systems work - got into this field through a genuine interest in automotive electronics, not just to pick locks.
How a Tech Hobby Turned Into a Locksmith Business
I didn't start as a locksmith. I started as someone who was just into how things worked - cars, electronics, security systems, smart home setups. At some point those interests crossed into automotive key tech, and I got hooked. Modern car keys are actually pretty complex: rolling codes, proximity sensors, encrypted transponders that pair directly with the ECU. Not the simple mechanical thing most people picture.
I spent a few years actually learning the programming side - not just the basic lockout tools, but the real key system architecture: how transponder chips pair with the ECU, what fails during ignition issues, why a smart fob stops being recognized after a battery swap on some models. Turned out that kind of background makes a pretty big difference on the job.
At some point I realized the results I was getting were better than a lot of shops charging dealer prices - and I was doing it right at the customer's location. Got the California BSIS license, went through the state process properly, and started taking calls in LA.
Now it's me and a couple of techs I've worked with long enough to trust. We only do automotive - smart keys, transponders, ignition work, lockouts. Don't try to be a full-service shop. One category, done right.
Tech-First Approach to Car Keys
Smart Key Programming
Push-to-start fobs, proximity keys, encrypted transponders - this is where a lot of locksmiths stop and send you to the dealer. We handle it on-site. No tow, no dealer appointment, no waiting a week.
We Diagnose Before We Bill
When a key stops working, most shops jump straight to selling you a replacement. Half the time the original is fine - it's a pairing issue, a worn ignition contact, or a module setting. We check first.
Fully Stocked Mobile Workshop
Key blanks for most makes, a cutting machine, and programming hardware for the vehicles we work on. When we confirm a job over the phone, we show up ready to finish it - not to take a look and schedule a follow-up.
